What is an ESN / IMEI and why do you ask for it?

An ESN / IMEI are used to uniquely identify a cell phone.

Tetchy Tech uses a devices ESN to check to see if it has been reported as lost or stolen, in addition to checking to see if there are any unpaid bills associated with the device.

Providing the ESN to us at the time an order is submitted will help us process your item faster and make sure you get paid within our quoted time. If there are issues with your device’s ESN, we will get in touch with you to make you aware of the problem.

HELPFUL HINT – You may need this number as a reference. On many phones, you can find your ESN, MEID or IMEI by typing in *#06# and your phone and the number will appear on your screen.
